The sponsor server programme: your brand on every test

Fibre optic lines in a data centre

When someone runs a speed test, the measurement executes on the server geographically closest to them. We do not build those servers — a data centre, an internet service provider or a hosting company hosts each one inside its own infrastructure. Those organisations are recognised in the network as sponsors.

The first thing to understand about the programme: NETMETRİK neither charges nor pays for server hosting. The sponsor pays us no rent, and we pay the sponsor nothing for bandwidth. The exchange happens somewhere else.

Installation is a single command; the server introduces itself and the network takes it into rotation.

What a sponsor gains

Brand visibility. Every user who runs a test through your server sees your organisation's name and a link to your website on their result card. You also appear under your own name in the HIZTESTI.COM server picker. This is a different kind of visibility from buying ad space: you appear at the moment the user is already thinking about network performance.

Reporting. The Reports screen in the portal gives you a summary of the tests run through your servers — test count, average download, upload and latency, connection type and ISP breakdown. You can export the data as CSV.

In-network traffic. For an ISP this is the most concrete line item. When your own subscribers' tests land on a server inside your own infrastructure, the measurement traffic never leaves your network: transit costs drop, and your subscriber sees the real performance of your infrastructure rather than a third network's bottleneck.

Regional measurement quality. The closer a measurement server is, the more the result reflects the line itself. A server in your region improves measurement for everyone there — your own subscribers included.

What is expected in return

The list is short but not negotiable:

ExpectationWhy
At least 1 Gbps dedicated connectionSpeed-test traffic is bursty; a shared line's ceiling leaks into the measurement
No traffic shapingRate limiting or prioritisation distorts the result directly
24/7 reachabilityHealth checks run continuously; an unreachable server drops out of rotation
Accurate declarationDeclared hardware, location and bandwidth are compared against reality by the system

The detailed version lives in the server requirements document.

Any attempt to influence measurement results is grounds for permanent removal from the network. The only capital a measurement network has is its credibility; if a sponsor could arrange to look faster on its own server, the programme would mean nothing.

After the server goes live

The work does not end when installation does. Your server is monitored continuously: one that becomes unreachable is automatically taken out of rotation and reinstated once the issue is resolved. The panel shows you its reachability history and measurement volume.

When you need a maintenance window you can pause the server from the panel — so no user test lands on a server that is down.

Getting started

  1. Create a corporate account on the portal — free.
  2. Check the requirements.
  3. Follow the quick start steps.

The typical time from registration to going live, review included, is a few business days. If you have a borderline case — a line below 1 Gbps or an unusual network topology — write to us first and we will assess it together.
