Configuring the widget

General

• Widget name: Visible only in your own panel; used to tell widgets apart.
• Theme: The visual layout of the test — HIZTESTI Style (the default), OOKLA Style (side-by-side gauges + a live histogram), Classic (the same needle gauge as on consumer HIZTESTI.COM), LED Style (a plain large number on a dark panel) and Arc (a thin arc gauge).
• Maximum speed: The gauge's upper limit. With Automatic selected, the scale adapts to the measured speed; with a fixed value selected, the gauge is always drawn against that limit.

Colors and logo

• Background color and accent color: A six-digit HEX code (e.g. #0B1220).
• Company logo: Upload a PNG or JPG file (up to ~1 MB) or enter a logo URL (only https://). For security reasons, SVG and other formats are not accepted.
• Logo alt text: A short text describing the logo, for accessibility.

Icons

You choose the icons representing the client (user) and server sides in the test flow from ready-made sets: client icon (device, laptop, tablet, phone, user, globe) and server icon (server, tower, dish, satellite, cloud, database).

Metrics

Choose which measurements appear on the result card:

• Speed unit: Mbps or MB/s.
• Show latency (ping), Show jitter, Show upload speed — turning test phases on and off.

Server selection

When Allow server selection is off, the server picker is not shown in the widget and the test always runs on the lowest-latency server. Useful when you do not want visitors changing the result by trying a different server.

You can also decide which server the test runs on: pick one from "Server for this embed" on the Embedding tab and the embed code below is updated with data-server-id. This is not a setting — it is not saved, it is only written into the code you copy, so you can embed the same widget on different pages with different servers. If you pick nothing, the test goes to the lowest-latency server automatically.

Language

The widget is translated automatically into 20 languages and picks the language from the visitor's browser settings — no configuration needed. If an unsupported language is selected, the test is shown in English. In Arabic and Hebrew the interface flows right to left.

Running the test only on your own URLs

When this switch on the Embedding tab is on, the test runs only when embedded on sites in your allowed-domain list; direct testing from your branded subdomain (yourbrand.hiztesticustom.com) is disabled.

Test settings

• Internet protocol version: Automatic (IPv6, falling back to IPv4), IPv4 only or dual-stack. Automatic is suitable for most sites.
• Require a password: When enabled, the visitor enters the password you set before starting the test. Suitable for internal/restricted use. This feature is available on the Business and Enterprise plans; the password is stored securely on the server (it is not shown back in plain text).
• Start automatically on page load:When enabled, the widget starts a test on its own on every page load where it is embedded (the "auto start on load" behavior). If a password is required, the test starts once the password has been verified.

Test servers

Here you choose which servers the widget will run the test on: the shared HIZTESTI Servers Network (default, quota applies) or my own servers (paid plans; you select from your approved servers added to the network, unmetered). Details: target mode.

Publishing

When you save your changes, the embedded widgets pick up the new settings on their next load. To stop a widget temporarily, you can pause it; a paused widget does not serve a test on the pages where it is embedded. For allowed domains and the embed code, see the related article.
